At a casino as in any other job, an employee's job satisfaction plays an influential role in retention. When employees are not happy with their job, they will leave their job. A low percentage of employee retention will increase the costs to run the casino, because the casino will have to obtain new employees. The casino will need to spend money to attract new hires. The applicants will need to be screened through testing, interviews and background checks. Once the new hires are onboard, the casino will need to train, create employee records and potentially pay a bonus.
