3. Mast cells contain granules of histamine which are released upon
exposure to allergens. Depending upon location and amount, this
histamine-release can cause everything from watery eyes to
life-threatening bronchospasm. It was long thought that this might have
an immunologic basis. To probe this possibility, an investigator
generated DNP-specific antibodies of different isotypes. He then
added these antibodies to cultures of mast cells with DNP-coated latex
beads or plain latex beads

onclusions do you draw these data? Explain your reasoning.
Advance a simple, brief hypothesis about what causes histamine release
from mast cells that is consistent with all the data.
