The plant body of multicellular fungi is a thaloid structure having cell wall made up of chitin. Thalus bears filmentous structure called hyphae which together form mycelium. At maturity mycelium forms reproductive structures. Fungi reproduces by any of three methods - vegetative, asexual & sexual. Vegetative reproduction occurs mostly by the fragmentation of the plant body. However, it reproduces asexually by the formation of spores.
