Here is the question that I need help with.

I don’t understand the effect of the Share Dividend Column – how do
they get 1.10? And how come in December they only have it 1, not 1.10?

Earnings per share under the assumption of the 10% stock dividend would
be:

Basic earnings per share = 880,000 net income – 250,000 preferred
dividends declared

577,500

= 1.09
