Information systems: use in business, changes in processes, future impacts

Information systems can serve many functions in a business. How might you use them in your business? How might they change the way you run your business? How might technological advances impact your business in the future?


Answer: I can use information systems in my business by sending monthly e-mail in reference to the upcoming sales. I would create a website, post coupons, special promotions.. I could also set up a chat board so consumers of similar tastes can meet on-line and chat.

Answer: Information system may change the way I run my business because I will be able to print my own newsletters, post my own ads on the internet, complete my banking pay my bills (electricity, utilities..)

Answer: Technological advances may impact my business in the future because you will have more online shopping, which mean that I could expand my market.  Instead of just selling to people in my area, I could ship my product all over the world.
