an unknown substance
Question for(Ota 103130) I have a white crystal/powder. It's melting point is (149C-150)range.I conducted several solubility test, it was unsoluble in water and unsoluble in(HCL)even after boiling. It was soluble in the following NaOH,sodium bicarbonate,and sulfuric acid. I know that acidic compounds soluble in (NaOH & NaHC03)are carboxlic groups and phenols.What specific test can I use to determine the functional group and the structure of the substance?
