Problem
#22138

Word problem involving yields and pH (I need to SEE this problem worked out...then I can do the rest of them!)

This is NOT for OTA 103846 or OTA 103997 (they have already tried this question).

How many metric tons of 5%-S coal would be needed to yield the H2SO4 required to produce a 2.5-cm rainfall of pH 2.00 over an area of 100 square kilometers?

This is the third time that this question has been posted. Two other responses received were incorrect. Please double-check response in light of this as there seems be something tricky about the problem.

Hints given: Calculate vol rain, mol H+, mass of S, mass of coal.

I need to SEE this problem worked out...then I can do the rest of them!
