kinetics problem
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The problem states

In the reaction  2 A + 2 B -------arrow C + 3 D  the rate of disappearance of A is -2.2 X 10^-4 M s -1.  What is the rate of formation of C  and the answer states is A = to 1.1 x 10^-4 M/s  What happened to the negative 1 in this situation.????  These measurements for rates  M s^-1  and s-1   can these be used to help identify first second and third order???

Your original response, was that there is no quick way to recognize the order of a reaction. It is experimentally derived.
For example, take a look at these examples:
3NO------->N20  +  NO2
Rate= k[NO]^2
second order with respect to NO second order overall

However you or the person who responded to the first solution request did not  explain in detail how you are getting these orders?
How are you getting 2nd order with respect to NO??????
How are you getting second order overall.  Please show me how you are getting this from the formula.

2NO2   +  F2 -----> 2NO2F
rate= k[NO2][F2]
first order with respect to NO2 first order wtih respect  to F2 and second order overall.   How are you getting this ??????????
Please explain.

Thank-you.
