Equilibrium Constants and Multistep Reactions

Given the following information:
H2S (aq) <-> H+ (aq) + HS- (aq) K= 8.9 x 10^-8
H+ (aq) + S2- (aq) <-> HS- (aq) K= 8.3 x 10^12
determine the equilibrium constant for the reaction:
H2S (aq) <-> 2 H+ (aq) + S2- (aq)

Solution Summary

Two reactions with their balanced equations, K1 and K2 are given. Students are to calculate the K1 and K2 for the rearranged, flipped, and re-organized equations. And from there, calculate the overall Keq.
