Conduct Disorder and Antisocial Personality Disorder

I'm doing a case study on Phineas Gage with a learning team.

I need information on Conduct Disorder and Antisocial Personality Disorder bringing thier descriptions together and what potential causes suggested by John Bowlby and Mary Ainsworth, attachment theorists at Stonybrook Research Center.

SCENARIO:

Today human service representatives are often targeted by individuals suffering from severe personality disorders. It is estimated that 1-3% of the children human service personal will encounter during their careers will be diagnosed with conduct disorder. Also 1-3% of the adults that they encounter in the United States will be diagnosed with antisocial personality disorder.

Human service personal need to be able to assess the risk these individuals may pose to themselves, their families and staff.

In order to do this, it will be necessary to understand that these are individuals whose vital neural connections between the ventromedial prefrontal lobe of the brain, referred to as the seat of moral decision making or conscience and the primal emotional, aggressive, sexual limbic region may have not formed as a child or been damaged or destroyed by traumatic brain injury, fever, disease, environmental toxins or substance abuse.

Thank you.
