Work Experience: 1. EXECUTIVE ENGINEER
August 1999-to date: Civil Construction Unit, Ministry of Environment and Forests, New Delhi
This unit is responsible for the construction activities of the Ministry of Environment and Forests and is looking after projects spread over the country including World Bank aided projects .
I worked as EE (Planning) in the unit from and was responsible for the preparation of estimates, processing of tenders ,contract related works and checking of structural drawings for works at Coimbatore, Calicut, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mysore, Jabalpur, Chindwara, Allahabad, Shimla, Dehradun, Ranchi.
Now I head Civil Engineering Division -I of the unit which looks after construction works at Jabalpur, Allahabad and Bhopal. This division is responsible for construction of buildings of the Ministry . Responsibilities include monitoring and supervision of works, preparation of estimates, tendering, award of works, preparation of budgets, preparation of accounts, handling of arbitration cases, administrative work, liaison with architects and client departments, etc.

2. JUNE 1995- JUNE 1997 : EXECUTIVE ENGINEER
Meghalaya Central Division , Shillong , Central Public Works Department
I headed a division (workload Rs.5 crores per annum) employing 100 people. This division, consisting of 5 subdivisions was responsible for construction and maintenance of buildings of central government departments and agencies in the state of Meghalaya and at Guwahati. My responsibilities apart from monitoring and supervision of works involved extensive liaison work with clients, architects, and local groups. The job comprised of administration, tendering, award of works, management of contracts, materials management, and estate officer duties, etc.
My financial duties included preparation of estimates and budgets, management of expenditure within budgeted amounts, and getting the accounts prepared by the Accounts Branch.

3. 1990-1995: Assistant Executive Engineer
SSW –II Unit GNCTD, New Delhi, C.P.W.D.
I headed a sub division that was responsible for planning and structural design of civil engineering works.
Skills & Achievements: I have 10 years of experience in the construction industry. My favourite subjects are Physics and Finance.
Career Interests: I intend to switch to a career in academics from my current job as an Engineer.
Outside Interests: I enjoy listening to music, travelling, quizzing and following sports especially cricket.
Additional Information: I am an avid internet surfer and collect a lot of reading material from there.
