Message to Students
and/or Parents:
For a number of years I directed a seminar for high school/university students participating in a 'Washington semester' program. One of the long-term benefits that I gained from this experience was an appreciation of the difficulty that students may have in pinpointing academic problem areas. Thus, I make it a practice to ask probative questions. (It does little good to provide an accurate answer to a wrong or misunderstood question.)
