Supervise the Waiver program for people with developmental disabilities. Provide supervision to over 150 direct care staff and management staff. Oversee programing, payroll, budgeting, personell issues, federal regulation compliance, training, and day to day care.
Skills & Achievements: I have been working in the non-profit field for over 11 years and have learned a great deal about humanity and humility. I am dedicated to improving the lives of people who need other to care for them. I am well established in my local community as an activist for disability rights, community improvement and educational opportunities.
Career Interests: I currently work for a non-profit organization providing residental services to people with developmental diabilites and would to further my career in the same field. I am working on my Master's Degree in Education and will complete it in April 2007. I want to earn my Doctorate Degree in Human Services and continue my work in the field of developmental disabilities.
Outside Interests: I am a foster parent raising two children. This is a large part of my life - ensuring they have a great life. I am in the processes of adopting them. I also volunteer for several organizations. I run the Disaster Action Teams for our local American Red Cross chapter.
