| Career Interests: | I am currently teaching part time for online universities and plan to pursue my PhD in Healthcare Administration and begin teaching full time. I have worked in the field of healthcare for the past nine years and enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience with others. |

| Message to Students and/or Parents: |
I want to be a teacher that inspires her students to learn, not just the particular subject that I am teaching, but I would love for my students to develop a passion for learning in general while they are in my classroom. I want to create an environment where it is ok to be uncertain and where questions are welcomed and encouraged. There are several teaching techniques and strategies that I want to employ in my classroom to help engage the students and to create a positive learning environment.
I believe good motivation is a necessary condition for students to succeed in learning the material taught in their courses, and it also proves to be crucial later on in their professional careers. In order to help students get motivated, I begin my lectures with concrete examples that are closely related to the concepts we are going to discuss in the class. In my experience, real world examples are particularly effective in keeping students engaged with the lecture and in making them aware of the usefulness of the materials they are going to learn. |
