The post-positivist approach proposed by the likes of Karl Popper still posit that the best way to investigate scientific phenomenon is to use en empirical eye. Logic and reason utilized with the scientific inquiry will enable scientists to explore the social world for the purpose of uncovering scientific truths and finding solutions to problems. One of the key methods used in positivism is falsification wherein certain ideas, positions and hypothesis are tested for the purpose of uncovering their validity. Post positivists acknowledge that human beings are prone to biases so that knowledge established is not always applicable but are only applicable in context; Social-constructivism on the other hand proposes that human learning and social behavior is learned through immersion and discursive activities ...
