Having searched the web, I have come to view that there are many project planning tools that can be utilized for all sorts of projects from personal ones to business. There are also some that are software-based and a number of project management software is now available in the market made specific for different kinds of projects and their challenges. I have chosen to look up 2 typical project planning tools however because of their easy application. One is the Gantt chart. It is also called as the milestones chart, project bar chart and activity chart. It is described as follows (ASQ, 2011):
