Improving the productivity of agriculture is important in less developed countries. The reasons are that agriculture is an important sector of such an economy. The agriculture sector provides employment to a major portion of the population. In addition, agriculture is the source of food for the large population and so it is important that agriculture increases. However, the difficulty is that agricultural land is limited and arable land cannot be increased easily so it becomes necessary to increase the productivity of agriculture. For this purpose it is necessary to have investment but investment in agricultural machinery and technology is declining.
