The concept of tactical leadership is to execute strategy. Tactical leaders address problems before they appear, in essence this type of leader anticipates positive and negative outcomes from the very beginning. Tactical leaders are focused on the future and develop strategical maneuvers to reach their objective. Leadership is often associated with motivational, charismatic, or transformational forms and styles of leadership. It is assumed that a leader has to possess at least one of the aforementioned characteristics. It is my belief that tactical and organizational leadership are two forms of strategies that result in achieving optimum performance from lower-level management to product and service line subordinates. Regardless of the style a leader employs, he or she must be able to apply tactical strategies rather than attempting to differentiate between tactical and organizational leadership.
