Clear goals also provide a firm base for the team and it continues to drive motivation because there is structure based on clear goals, which also adds to improved performance. The criteria factor details what will be accomplished when. By setting specific criteria, it serves as a measureable standard. We can then measure performance based on achieving our criteria in the given time frame. This improves team performance because it shows expectations.
