The theory of total quality management applies to all organization of all capacity and categories. Acknowledging that all firms are subject to making mistakes (could be minute, medium or significant) in the production of their goods, it becomes a necessity for each business to employ a method of managing the quality of goods it produces, controlling the quality of the goods, and improving the quality of the goods (Goetsch & Davis, 2012). Total quality management tools (TQMT) help firms to recognize, evaluate and determine qualitative and quantitative information that aligns with their respective businesses ("TQM Tools," 2016). Each of the tools can be explored and used to improve the performance, capability, uniformity and comprehensive quality of operations, products or job environment. This paper will illustrate the cause-and-effect diagram of the various factors relating to the operations that caused poor product quality and customers' complaints about the vegetables produced by a large farm operations (Goetsch & Davis, 2012).
