This case has many different narratives, it begins with the history of the center, highlights the departure of what is considered its founder, and places emphasis on his replacement, who was the number 2 person during his tenure. It goes into depth about the selection committee, and how they vetted four different candidates before choosing the eventual replacement. The study describes how important the Walton Art Center has been for the community and its emphasis on education. One of the critical issues that could be deduced from this scattershot article involves how future challenges for the center will be placated upon revising the programming to reflect current vital issues. Businesses, whether for-profit or nonprofit, must continuously revamp their approach to ensure that they remain well-versed in current trends that can enhance their business opportunities.

From what I could gather about the article, which I might add was not very well written in my opinion, the critical issues that are faced by the Arts Center include tapping into new "markets" or audiences that have yet to be discovered while also appealing to the core base of audiences who are repeat contributors to the success of the center. Therefore, the impetus on the center to place a high focus on the programming for the facility is very high, and requires a great attention toward programs that represent the core of the center's mission.
