ISO 9000 has evolved in several ways the past several years. In 1987 the ISO 9000 had a structure that was similar to the UK Standard BS 5750, with three models for quality management. The focus changed to quality assurance through preventive action in 1994. This version required evidence that the delineated procedures had been followed. In the year 2000 there was a major revision. The concept of process management was given importance. This meant monitoring and optimizing the company's tasks and activities. There was an attempt to involve top executives in quality management and a movement to integrate quality in the business system. In 2008 some clarifications were issued to the 2000 version also there was a move to increase consistency with ISO 14001 2004. In 2015 changes are expected in ISO 9000. The changes will ...
