Outsourcing in India

India is hub of outsourcing jobs. United States and European countries are the largest customers of India. The types of outsourced jobs are call center services, data and document management, transcription, engineering and architecture, healthcare, software and IT, photo editing, research and analysis, creative services, web analysis, legal services, and banking and financial services.The biggest outsourcings concentrations are in the North, west, and southern parts of India. In the North and West, Mumbai and Delhi bags the chunk. Noida and Gurgaon in Delhi are the key players of outsourcing. Mumbai and Pune are other outsourcing centers of the west. Kolkotta is also a growing area for outsourcing eventhough; it is not a favorable point when compared with other Indian cities.

In South India, three major cities are the cheapest for outsourcing. They are Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai. Bangalore is well known for IT industry and often referred as the Silicon Valley. The outsourcing organizations are targeting the above cities for many reasons. Some of the reasons are due to the availability of skilled personnel, easy travel and communication facilities. The geographical factors play a big deal in favor of India. Distance was a stumbling block before the inception of globalization. India has a unique time zone than that of USA and Europe. The companies in India can take the outsourcing jobs during the day, when on the other side, it is night. The special time zone has made India, a preferred area for the outsourcing organizations. The volume of the work has also been increased due to the same reason. The highly educated Indian community is another advantage. India has a huge English speaking population. The students have also good knowledge of other foreign languages like French, Spanish, German, Russian etc. These educated elites make India the favorable destination for outsourcing
