The use of ID models enables an instructor to easily create and develop lessons in a step-by-step process (typically) which allows for a holistic approach to lesson planning and design. ID models are backed by extensive research and experts in the subject who, in most cases, draw valid conclusions and can show the effectiveness of the said model. Without the use of ID models, lessons would not be as easy to develop, teach, understand, evaluate and improve. ID models serve as a useful reference whether it be establishing goals and objectives of the class or identifying different students' needs to assessing the course matter. They are comprehensive and make sure the instructor has covered all that they need to.
