Explanation of John Marshall's ruling on Malbury

Former Chief Justice John Marshall is still today considered one of the most influential members of the Supreme Court to have ever held his position due to his Federalist views during the overwhelming Republican political influence during his term. Some of his most noted cases included Marbury v. Madison, McCulloch v. Maryland, and Gibbons v. Ogden, all of which are considered landmark decisions.
