Compare: The first two are religious factions found it the Middle East who want a voice in government and human rights. The third group (the Kurds) are part of the Sunni group - religiously, though not racially. Both the Shiites and Sunnis believe that Allah is God and the only god and that Mohammed was the last prophet. They both use the Qu'ran as their holy book. Two interesting verses from the Quran regarding religious wars:

"Fight those who do not believe in Allah...And the Jews say Ezra is the son of God; and the Christians say Christ is the son of God; these are the words of their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; Allah's curse be on them; how they are turned away!" (Koran 9:29-30)

And fight with them until there is no more persecution and religion should be only for Allah (8:39)
