Interpersonal Stress

1. Nothing is more stressful than a miserable relationship and nothing can be more satisfying than a loving relationship. Briefly discuss Carl Rogers "5 Characteristics of all Successful Relationships."

Carl Rogers' characteristics of successful relationships is based on the "person-centered theory of personality" where the self, self-actualization, and awareness are of utmost importance. In other words, it takes two to tango. No one that is self-actualized and aware of themselves would be in a miserable relationship. Usually those whom are of right mind would be attracted to someone in a similar state, and thus be involved in a loving relationship. According to Sir Issac Newton's concept of gravitation, which was expanded on by HRH Joie, everything "attracts."
